Evaluate workplace pension enquiries by real progress

Review employer contacts in Germany using confirmed next steps, pending decisions and working time. Turn your enquiry review into practical sales planning.

Ten employer conversations can leave ten different situations. Some businesses are considering further work; others need an internal discussion first. For workplace pension teams serving Germany, a useful review shows which next step was actually agreed and where your own sales team still owes work.

Review one enquiry group at a stated date

For example, group employer enquiries received in a particular month and record the review date. Keep later conversations attached to that original group. This avoids comparing initial responses from new contacts with employers supported for much longer without recognising the difference in time.

Record the latest stage actually reached for each business. “Documents sent” describes your activity. “Employer wants to discuss the proposed review assignment on Thursday” records a confirmed continuation. Both entries help, but they should not represent the same progress.

Separate conversations, discussions and commissions

Use clear statuses in your own overview:

  • Conversation held, continuation open: Record the unresolved question. A friendly response alone does not create a follow-up appointment.
  • Next work agreed: Name the task, participants and date or occasion. Check that your team has planned the preparation.
  • Employer deciding internally: State what is being decided and which response was agreed.
  • Commissioned or closed: Record only the confirmed decision and the stated scope or reason.

A business can move from a planned appointment back to an unresolved arrangement. Update the status rather than permanently counting previous progress. The workforce size does not represent a number of insurance policies won.

Find the bottleneck in your own handling

Example: Two employers are waiting for a clear description of your proposed follow-on work. Three others have already received it and are discussing it internally. Marking all five as “awaiting decision” hides the work you still owe the first two.

Start by discussing promises your team still needs to fulfil. Where an employer is deciding internally, check the agreed occasion for their response. Without new information, the reason for a delay remains unknown. Do not invent a lack of interest or assume a commission is imminent.

Add preparation, conversation and follow-up time for the same group. Many contacts with small advances can absorb substantial effort. A shorter list with clear next tasks can also fill your calendar. Use both pieces of information when deciding capacity.

Apply what you learn to your next order

First change the task you identified, such as ownership of follow-up documents or preparation for an employer meeting. At the next review, check whether agreed work was completed. Changing lead volume alone does not resolve an internal task left unfinished.

With webRichtung, choose industry, area, delivery option and monthly limit. The limit caps regular monthly deliveries without guaranteeing a volume. Register your team and view the current price in webRichtung Customer before placing a binding order.

Frequently asked questions

Does a follow-up appointment count as an order?

No. Record it as an agreed next step. Track an actual commission separately using the employer's confirmed response.

How should I record an employer's internal discussion?

Note the question to be decided, the agreed occasion for a response and your work afterwards. Until a response arrives, the decision remains open.

Should larger employers receive a higher weighting?

The headcount band describes the business, not expected policies. For workload planning, assess the actual task and effort rather than counting employees as potential sales.
